Spring Favourites

Aloha !

So we are nearing Summer.. 9 weeks exactly. And I AM SO FRICKING EXCITED! The nights get longer, the weather gets hotter, the sea gets warmer, ice creams get colder, life basically gets better. :) And who else loves the smell of grass and suncream? I am guilty as charged. However, to get me through these next 2 months I can focus my time (when I should really be revising :/) on Spring outfit shopping which I have always found incredibly difficult. Living in Ireland, Spring tends to mean rain with the odd dry or occasionally sunny day. This means a coat or jacket is required on all outings.I have a few below. So here are a list of my "Spring Favourites". Enjoy!

1. A cardigan is a definite Spring essential. Here is a gorgeous navy one I got from Pull and Bear that will go with anything and at €13 it's a bargain! Pull and bear cardigan

2. A statement jumper is always worth having. And these will brighten up any rainy day!

3. Next is a leather jacket because if you don't already have one these are a wardrobe essential. Perfect for toughening up a girly ensemble or making an outfit out of a jean and t-shirt combo. Obviously one can pay hundreds for a proper leather one but here are some cheaper ones for all of us students out there :)

4. Now onto my favourites: dresses! I'm a sucker for a pretty tea dress or a vintage lace number so here are some of my favourite Spring day dresses.

http://www.bershka.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product/bershkaie/en/bershkasales/706511/3803001/Bershka%2Bbutton-up%2Blace%2Bdress/712 A gorgeous little white lace skater dress and it's on sale! Get shopping quick girls! I'd love this for Spring with a some little black boots, a leather jacket and some statement jewellery.

It's the kind of outfit I'd see on someone when I'm out and wish I was wearing it.

5. Finally bottoms. I have been loving skorts recently here are two I love. http://www.boohoo.com/skorts/bree-bold-floral-print-skort/invt/azz33631

Also Mom Jeans are super cool! Teamed with a crop top or loose cami tucked in and a little pair of strappy sandals they pull off the ultimate "effortlessly sexy" look.

Bikinis

Even though they are the most necessary, bikinis are some of the hardest things to shop for. One thing that really annoys me when shopping for bikinis is if the top and bottoms are attached. Who has a matching size top and bottom? It is important to make sure you get the right size bikini otherwise you may be in the uncomfortable situation when it falls down after jumping in the pool!

Here are some links to some gorgeous bikinis and beach accessories:

1) This is a gorgeous bandeau bikini from H&M. It's £12.99 for the top and £7.99 for the bottoms so it's not expensive. It's handy because the top means no tan lines and it's also got a really cool zip on the top.

2) This really pretty little number is from New Look. I love Kelly Brook's collection for New Look and this is one of my favourite bikinis. The top is measured in bra sizes and therefore super flattering and handy for those with bigger busts. The top is €19.99  and the bottoms are €13.99 making it a bit of an expensive bikini.

3) I love this vibrant Fat Face bikini. It's so colourful and would look gorgeous with a tan! The top is £22 and the bottoms are £18. Fat Face also has some lovely board shorts, the link for my favourite pair is below.

4) I also love this retro Topshop number. It's got underwiring so it's very flattering and I absolutely love the colour and scallop detail! The top is £18 and the bottoms are £12.

If you're looking for maxi dresses, kaftans and cover ups I've found some lovely ones from New Look, River Island and Asos. Check them out!

So as it's officially summer I thought I'd write about my summer shoe must haves! I'm really into espadrilles for lots reasons:
1. They're so much more comfortable than sandals and flip flops and
2. they're really flattering on your ankles.

Here's the link to some gorgeous cream lace Toms from Schuh that are rather expensive but they last so much longer than the knock - offs. http://ie2.schuh.co.uk/womens-stone-toms-classic-crochet/1382031170/

If they're way out of your price range here's the link to some gorgeous red crochet espadrilles from New Look. http://www.newlook.com/eu/shop/shoe-gallery/view-all-shoes/red-crochet-plimsolls-_274771860

However, I wouldn't be able to go on a summer holiday without my havaiannas which I've had for over two years and they still look new! Surfdome.com does a range of outdoor and beach clothing and it's the cheapest place for havainnas I've ever come across!

If you're looking for sandals Penney's has a gorgeous selection this year and although they won't last they're so cheap it doesn't matter!

Thanks for reading and please spread the word about the blog! :)
